As a Recruitment
Consultant, you will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and selecting top
talent for our Government clients' workforce needs. Your role will involve
building and maintaining a network of qualified candidates and connecting those
job seekers with suitable job opportunities, ensuring a mutually beneficial fit
for both candidates and employers.
- Talent Sourcing: Utilise
various recruitment channels, including job boards, social media,
networking, and referrals, to identify potential candidates with the
desired qualifications and experience.
- Candidate Screening: Conduct
thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' skills,
experience, and cultural fit for specific job roles.
- Job Posting and
Advertisement: Prepare compelling job descriptions and advertisements to
attract top talent.
- Effectively market job
opportunities across different platforms.
- Candidate Presentation:
Present shortlisted candidates to clients, highlighting their
qualifications, experience, and potential contributions to the
organization.
- Interview Coordination:
Facilitate the interview process between clients and candidates, providing
feedback and guidance to both parties throughout the hiring process.
- Offer negotiation: Assist in
negotiating job offers, ensuring that both parties reach a mutually
agreeable and satisfactory arrangement.
- Conducting pre-employment
checks: including verification of right to work, reference checks, police
clearances, and relevant checks specific to department requirements.
- Candidate onboarding: Support
successful candidates during the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth
transition into their new roles.
- Post placement follow up:
Complete regular check ins with placed candidates to address any potential
post placement issues.
- Market Research: Stay updated
with industry trends, salary benchmarks, and recruitment best practices to
ensure competitiveness in the job market.
- Database Management: Maintain
accurate and up-to-date records of candidates, clients, and recruitment
activities using the company's recruitment software.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence
to all operational and client compliance requirements.
Technical &
Behavioural Competencies:
- Proven work experience as a
Recruitment Consultant for Australian recruitment agencies
- Experience recruiting within
the Government sector is highly advantageous
- Proven experience with VMS
platforms such as SAP Fieldglass and/or Beeline is highly preferred.
- Experience identifying
business development opportunities and executing on those leads.
- In-depth understanding of
various recruitment methods and tools.
- Strong communication,
interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain
professional relationships with both clients and candidates.
- Excellent organizational
skills and attention to detail.
