JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to join our team. The QA Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through systematic testing. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch software.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Test Planning: Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and create detailed test plans and test cases.
- Manual Testing: Execute manual tests to identify software defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues.
- Automated Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency.
- Defect Reporting: Document and report defects found during testing using issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure previously fixed issues do not recur.
- Collaborate: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product functionality and provide feedback.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.
- Performance Testing: Conduct performance and load testing to ensure software performs well under various conditions.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-4 years of proven experience as a QA Tester or in a similar role.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing is preferred.
- Knowledgeable with Web Services
- Proven technical proficiency in Java
- Proficiency in testing tools such as Selenium is highly preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to testing.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
